At Tactical Edge, we offer an experienced cadre of instructors who specialize in the fields of Street Gangs, Officer Safety, School Violence, and Police Management/Leadership. Tactical Edge takes pride in bringing realistic training both online and to your agency, organization, school system, or community. Members of our first class training staff have conducted training to thousands of law enforcement officers, school administrators, teachers, and community members throughout the country and beyond.

Captain Tim Guerrette - Division Captain / Gangs / Officer Safety / School Violence

Capt. Tim Guerrette currently works with the Collier County Sheriff’s Office as the division head of the Juvenile and Delinquency Services Division. This Division encompasses the agencies School Resource Officers, Street Gang Unit, and Serious Habitual Offender Programs. Captain Guerrette has had the opportunity to instruct in all fifty states on the topics of gangs, school violence, narcotics, and officer safety. 

Tim is an Adjunct Instructor for St. Petersburg College, Southwest Florida Criminal Justice Academy, and contracts with the Florida Office of the Attorney General's Office to instruct gangs and schools resource officer related topics statewide. 

Tim is a past executive board member of the Florida Gang Investigators Association and currenty sits on the Board of Trustees for Youth Haven, provider of residential emergency shelter for abused, abandoned & neglected children in Naples, Florida.

Tim holds degrees in Criminal Justice and Business Administration (Executive Management).

Lt. Rich Hampton - District Patrol Commander / Gangs / Officer Safety / School Violence

Rich Hampton is the former Street Gang Unit Coordinator of the Collier County Sheriff’s Office in Naples Florida. During this time he served as the Vice-President for the Florida Gang Investigators Association, Board of Directors for four years.

Since 1999, Lt. Hampton has presented gang-awareness training programs to more than 5,000 Law Enforcement Officers, citizens and teachers and government bodies in over 20 cities nationwide. He has been recognized as an expert witness on the gang subculture and specializes in the gang mentality issues and social disorder that communities face every day.

Lt. Hampton began his career in the United States Air Force in 1990 and has since worked as a Corrections Officer for the Florida Dept. of Corrections, Corrections Deputy and Drill Instructor for sentenced juveniles, Patrolmen, Patrol Supervisor, Gang Investigator, Gang Unit Sergeant and Patrol District Commander.

Captain Mark Baker - Patrol Division Captain / Officer Safety / School Violence / Use of Force

During Mark's 18 years as a law enforcement officer, he has worked as a patrol officer, deputy sheriff, criminal investigator, internal affairs investigator, boating homicide investigator, narcotics investigator, lieutenant of the patrol division and now the Captain of the Patrol Group of the Patrol (nearly 400 sworn members). Mark is a high liabilities instructor in the areas of defensive tactics, firearms, police pursuit driving, expandable baton, less lethal munitions, disturbance and riot control, chemical agents and officer survival. He has an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.

Chief Jim Bloom - Officer Safety / School Violence / Use of Force

Chief Jim Bloom currently works with the Collier County Deputy Sheriff's and is the Commanding officer over the Special Operations Division and the Patrol Division. Chief Bloom is responsible for the daily operations and the administrative direction of both divisions that include; SWAT Team, Canine Unit, Marine Unit, Agriculture Unit, Aviation Unit, Bomb Squad, Traffic Unit, Dive Team and the Hostage Negotiations Team.

Chief Bloom is presently a member of the National Tactical Officers Association, Florida SWAT Association, Florida Association of Hostage Negotiators and the Florida Criminal Justice Executive Institute.

Sgt. Fletch Fuller - Gangs / Officer Safety / School Violence

Fletch Fuller currently works with the Collier County Sheriff’s Office as a lead defensive tactics instructor. Sgt. Fuller is a former member of the agencies Street Gang Unit. As the Lead Instructor for Defensive Tactics, he also instructs various topics such as Use of Force, Taser, OC, Baton and Driving. He is a Field Training Officer and a member of the SWAT Team. Fuller is a member of the Florida Gang Investigators Association and frequently coordinates and conducts Gang Awareness and Prevention presentations for Officers and Community members. He also supervises a One-Day Bootcamp experience for At Risk Juveniles. Fuller has worked in Law Enforcement since 1989.

With extensive training and experience in Defensive Tactics, Fuller works with such programs as the ISR Matrix, SPEAR and GRACIE. He continues his training and research on the job and in the training room.
