Criminal Street Gangs - Update 2009
This 1-2 day course is designed for uniformed patrol officers, corrections officers, or investigators who need the basic elements of street gang identification and eradication techniques. In this course our instructors will provide an overview of the history, mentality, current trends, signs and symbols of the most commonly encountered criminal street gangs. This in your face seminar offers students the tools to identify gangs and tactics to stay alive on the streets.

Criminal Street Gangs - Advanced Suppression Approach (certified positions only)
This 1-3 day course is designed for gang unit members, frontline patrol officers, investigators or the correction officers who have the basic knowledge and experience with street gangs. This course will outline the underlying issues related to gangs and assist you in working with your administration to eliminate the denial of gang existence in your community. Instructors will offer a hands-on approach introducing proven techniques that will combat the suppression of street gang activity in your community. This seminar will discuss gang abatement issues, citizen contacts, racial profiling, and tactical operations used to combat gangs. Response to Active Shooter Incident
This two-day, 16 hour comprehensive course is designed to prepare officers mentally and practically how to response to active shooter incidents. This program provides strategies and extensive hands-on training in quick action deployment (QUAD) for active violent incidents. The training outlines a range of operational needs including incident command, manpower, mindset, intelligence gathering, response, responsibilities, formations, movement and equipment issues. This one day seminar provides an inter-perspective of an individual’s personal fitness for survival. It provides a look in the mirror to see if you are mentally prepared for a violent encounter and provides realistic options for recognizing and resolving those threats safely. Tactical Self-Protection and Preservation
This advanced three-day course is designed to provide law enforcement officers, security personnel or civilians with the tools, techniques and confidence to survive a confrontation or spontaneous attack, escalating from a verbal confrontation to a physical or armed encounter. It combines lecture with extensive hands-on realistic training geared toward an identified group, (LEO, Security, and Civilian) to enable the recipient to identify cues and indicators of potential subject resistance and providing legal force options to resolve the situation. "IMPACT WRITING" Subject Resistance / Officer Control Documentation / Report Writing for Use of Force incidents.
This one day course is presented to stress the importance of proper documentation after a use of force situation. It is an Officer's survival guide in a criminal, civil or administrative action where the officer is the subject officer. It is designed to assist the officer in writing a report that is truthful, lawful, and defensible in the criminal justice system. We will look at how the use of force reporting methods and "early warning" system can work against the officer if they are not prepared with comprehensive report and subsequent testimony during court proceedings... a must for all law enforcement officers and supervisors. Rules of Engagement - Consensual Encounter Techniques
This training includes lecture- and scenario-based training that will outline techniques in the use of consensual encounter techniques. The instruction includes legal foundation and case law issues, techniques, safety issues, and the use of plain-clothes and uniform officers. In addition, the program will discuss familiarization of the Fourth Amendment as it relates to search and seizure, determining reasonable suspicion and probable cause based solely upon behavior, recognizing suspicious or criminal behavior, planning a consensual encounter, approaching and talking to a target, specifics of consensual encounters and consent searches as well as their denial by a target, legal documentation, and preparation for courtroom testimony and the court’s review of the encounter. Role-playing scenarios are included to allow students to participate in the techniques featured and provide the student with feedback concerning their technique and investigative skills.
